Equine Assisted Learning & Wellbeing Sessions

What do we do?

At Heart of a Phoenix Farm, we believe in the incredible healing power of horses and the connections they inspire. Through our equine-assisted learning programs, we partner with individuals and groups to foster growth, resilience, and connection. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support a wide range of participants—including first responders, trauma survivors, and community organizations—helping them work through challenges and move toward personal and professional goals.

Whether it’s building teamwork and trust, strengthening confidence and self-esteem, regulating the nervous system, or developing healthy boundaries and relationships, our horses serve as intuitive partners in the process. At Heart of a Phoenix Farm, we create a safe, supportive environment where people and horses come together to learn, heal, and grow.

What is Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)?

At Heart of a Phoenix Farm, Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) offers a unique, hands-on way to build confidence, communication, and emotional awareness through partnership with horses.

In these unmounted sessions, participants engage in guided activities—such as leading, grooming, and connection-building—that encourage personal growth and real-life skill development. Horses respond honestly to our energy and intentions, helping us see ourselves more clearly and learn in a natural, supportive way.

EAL at Heart of a Phoenix Farm is designed to empower individuals of all ages to rise, rebuild, and rediscover their inner strength—just like a phoenix.
