Our Story
Heart of a Phoenix Farm was created through the vision and dedication of founder Sean, who was deeply moved after meeting Taylor, her four horses, and hearing her dream of helping others heal through the power of horses. After learning how profoundly the herd had supported Taylor’s own journey—especially as a first responder who had witnessed difficult traumas and carried the emotional weight that so many in the field experience—Sean knew he wanted to help bring her dream to life and share that healing with others.

With Taylor’s personal experience and Sean’s passion for building something meaningful, the two partnered to transform this small herd into a place of hope, growth, and connection. Together, they began developing programs for first responders, trauma and domestic violence survivors, and many other groups seeking resilience, understanding, and support.

Today, Heart of a Phoenix Farm proudly partners with a wide range of individuals, companies, and organizations—including fire departments, corporate teams, community groups, and more. Every program is thoughtfully customized to meet the unique needs of the participants, focusing on areas such as teamwork, confidence, nervous system regulation, communication, self-awareness, and trust.

Both Sean and Taylor are certified Equine Assisted Learning Practitioners through Equine Experience International, and they are dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space where people can connect, heal, and grow alongside their equine partners.
